About the Event
Conquer the Wild Mountain Hike
This challenging mountain hike will summit the iconic Helvellyn (950m).
This is a looped moutainous route which will begin beside Thirlmere Reservoir. A hike up to the summit of Helvellyn, taking in views of the surrounding tarns and ridges, then descending back down through the forest - all of which make for an amazing adventure and awesome photo opportunities!Â
Led by a qualified Mountain Leader, Hill and Moorland team, with a wealth of experience and expertise.
Discover and explore new places whilst completing a challenging route with the camaraderie of other like-minded people around you – there should be no desire to ‘beat’ anyone or break any records.
You should be prepared for a full day in the mountains. As this is a supportive, group event accommodating a range of abilities, please consider the latest time advertised and avoid making plans after the event.
Leave the planning and navigation to us and just enjoy venturing out into the open enjoying the views and company.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of this event, no under 18's and no dogs are permitted.
Meeting point will be emailed to participants before the event and shared on the member's Facebook group. Camping the evening before is recommended, with many campsites, hostels or other accomodation is available in the area.
