Kindling Kids are awesome!
Come join us as we discover and explore the wild, natural places in and around the Burrs Country Park.

​Kindling Kids is a programme of fun outdoor activities aimed at improving the physical, mental, and social wellbeing of those attending. Focusing on experential learning, previous activities have included:

Campfires and marshmallows

Whittling magic wands and more!

Nature scavenger hunts
-
Pond dipping and delving
-
Saving the environment by building bird and bat boxes and bug hotels!

Kindling Kids is intended to support children who may be experiencing any of the following:
-
Low mood
-
Poor mental wellbeing
-
Low self-esteem
-
Difficulty regulating their emotions
-
Behaviours which challenge at home or in school

Sessions take place on a Tuesday from 4:30pm - 6pm. There is a suggested donation of £4 per session, however we understand if you are unable to make this payment or wish to donate a different amount.
