Service Description
Conquer the Wild Hike & Trail Run Package. Our Conquer the Wild events are typically up hills and in moorland. These longer hikes and fell runs have more mud, more hills - all of which make for more laughs and awesome photos! These routes typically cover a distance of 10-12 miles and take place on the last Saturday of the month. Hikers are Runners start at the same locations, but head out on the routes in oppoistite directions, passing each other along the route for a group photo opportunity. Led by a qualified Hill and Moorland team with a wealth of experience and expertise. The Conquer the Wild events are about discovering and exploring new places whilst completing a challenging route with the camaraderie of other like-minded people around you – there should be no desire to ‘beat’ anyone or break any records. Leave the planning and navigation to us and just enjoy venturing out into the open enjoying the views and company. This package provides entry to the following events: Locations: • January 27th: Ashworth Valley • February 24th: Musbury Heights • March 30th: Ladybower & Derwent Moors • April 27th: Hardcastle Crags & Wadsworth Moor • May 25th: Bleaklow • June 29th: Malham • July 27th: Lee Quarry • September 28th: Whitworth • October 26th: Mam Tor & Kinder • November 30th: Winter Hill & Rivington All of these routes are circular. Starting points for each month will be emailed to participants before the event and shared on the member's Facebook group. Kit requirements: Specific details and requirements for each Conquer the Wild event will be emailed prior to the date however, for the the majority of events, it maybe requested that you bring the following: • Waterproof jacket and trousers • Spare warm layer • Hat and gloves • Ability to carry a minimum 1 litre of water • Fully charged mobile phone, with OS Maps or OS Locate app installed • Suitable trail shoes or boots • Personal snacks/food Route: As above, the specific details for each Conquer the Wild event will be emailed prior to the date.
