About the Event
Hattie's House Hike
To celebrate Hattie's 18th birthday, we are supporting her family and friends to raise much needed funds for the Hattie's House Therapy and Respite Centre at the Good Life Ophanage in Kenya.Â
The respite centre was renamed 'Hattie's House' when Hattie's mum, dad, brother and sister visited the orphanage and has since gone from strength to strength, but with the development and expansion of the services they offer, the costs also increase.
In her memory, we invite you to a supportive, social adventure across Holcombe Moor and help us raise some money towards this vital service.Â
The 6 mile route will venture through beautiful woodland, across streams and over open moorland - passing a series of historical features along the way.Â
This adventure is free to attend however, if you have not donated already, we request that you also make a donation to the Just Giving page clicking here.Â
Suggested minimum donation is £5.Â
The Hattie's House Hike will be led by The Sunnywood Project's qualified Hill and Moorland team with a wealth of experience and expertise.
Kit requirements:
• Waterproof jacket
• Spare warm layer
• Fully charged mobile phone
• Suitable sturdy footwear - ideally trail shoes or boots
• Personal snacks and drinkÂ
