Silent Disco Hike Adventures - Step into a sky-high party like no other at Castlefield Viaduct.

As the sun sets into the Manchester skyline, leave the streets behind and embrace the outdoors for a truly unforgettable Sunnywood Silent Disco Hike Adventure.

Suspended above the city, this former Victorian railway viaduct has been transformed into a breathtaking 'sky garden' - a hidden green oasis bursting with history, atmosphere, and stunning panoramic views.

In collaboration with the National Trust, you’ll explore this spectacular steel landmark and sky garden as it comes alive after hours.

Expect glowing headphones, waves of neon glowsticks, and non-stop dancing as the sun sets over the city: the ultimate way to kick-start your night out or put the perfect finale on a day of shopping.

On arrival, you’ll receive a Silent Disco headset featuring:

• Three music channels to switch between dance anthems, rock classics, and sing-along favourites

• Illuminated earphones (Red, Green, or Blue) so you can instantly spot who’s on your channel

• Personal volume control

Get ready to dance among the skyscrapers and lose yourself in an atmosphere where urban heritage and nature meet open-air nightlife. Sunsets, music, and sweeping Manchester views - this is Castlefield Viaduct as you’ve never experienced it before.

Spaces are strictly limited due to headset availability and to ensure everyone enjoys this exclusive, elevated experience.

Distance: 

The route will encompass a variety of footpath which can be uneven in places and potentially slippery if wet.

The Sunnywood Project strives to be a Leave No Trace  organisation: 

We ask that, as best we can, we leave only footprints. Do not drop any litter – anyone caught doing so will not be welcome back on a Sunnywood Project event.

Start time and duration: We will aim to set off at the time stated on ticket. The event typically takes 1hr 15mins depending on pace and enjoyment – as this is a supportive, group event accommodating a range of abilities, please consider the latest time advertised if making plans after the event.

Please allow enough time to get to the meeting point to be allocated your headset and a quick briefing – we are unable to wait for you. Look out for The Sunnywood Project flag or van, and our team wearing hi-viz.

Car parking options are available in the surrounding areas.

What to bring:

• Bright, but warm clothing - you may wish to embellish further with glowsticks and neon facepaint. 

• Headtorch or hand held torch

• Ensure you are dressed for the forecast weather for the event and are wearing sturdy footwear.

• Please ensure you bring a waterproof outer layer just in case!

• Snacks and a drink for the duration

• Fully charged phone for taking lots of photos

Misuse: 

Upon booking, you will be asked to agree to pay a £30 charge if a headset is damaged through deliberate misuse.
