Campfire Tales with The League of Curiosity


Embark on a magical journey of captivating storytelling, marvellous live music,  and stupendous  songs with the League of Curiosity’s ‘Campfire Tales’.


Join the League of Curiosity's finest travelling storyteller, Prof Jigget, around a warming campfire, to hear stories of magic, mayhem, and nonsense.


Each story is told with live music and original songs to take you on a sonic journey of imagination.


With a storytelling prowess that has enthralled audiences for years, Prof Jigget will weave a tapestry of family folk tales and stories that span generations. 


Each musical tale is carefully chosen to evoke laughter, spark curiosity, and ignite the flames of imagination in both young and old.

Get ready for a night like no other as The Sunnywood Project presents LET’S DO LIGHTS! A vibrant, family-friendly celebration of movement, creativity, wellbeing and community, all taking place after dark at Burrs Country Park.


Following the success of Sunnywood Fest 2024, we’re bringing people together once again to explore the outdoors, get active and experience Burrs in a completely new way: this time through light, music, storytelling and immersive experiences. It will be an evening of being active together as a family in the most creative way possible.


LET’S DO LIGHTS! is designed for all ages and abilities, encouraging people to walk, wheel, cycle, dance and connect in an inclusive and welcoming environment.


Expect glowing trails, immersive installations, music, creativity and unforgettable moments under the stars, including:


  • Cycle Projection Experience with Illuminos – www.illuminos.co.uk

  • Family Silent Disco Hike Adventure

  • Rave Fitness Sessions

  • Family Lantern-Making Workshops

  • Illuminated Walking Bus from Bury Town Centre

LET’S DO LIGHTS! is all about bringing people together, encouraging active lifestyles and creating joyful shared experiences in nature.

This is more than just an event: it’s a celebration of healthier communities, creativity, inclusion, adventure and enjoying Burrs Country Park after dark.


Be sure to bring your bike to access the unique Cycle Projection Experience with Illuminos!

Active Travel & Event Access


LET’S DO LIGHTS! promotes the enjoyment of being outdoors to improve health and wellbeing, while encouraging Active Travel through a range of exciting free activities suitable for all ages.


Parking at Burrs Country Park will be prioritised for those with mobility needs and event providers.


To access LET’S DO LIGHTS! we ask that you either:

  • Join the Walking Bus from Bury Town Centre

  • Cycle / scoot / walk into Burrs Country Park via your own chosen route

  • Park at least 1km away from the site


In addition to the main field activities, we also have the following limited-capacity activities that must be booked in advance:

  • Guided Night Trail Run

  • Guided Night Hike

  • Campfire Tales

  • Interactive Story Trail

  • Rave Fitness


General access to this event is available through a “pay what you want” donation. However, please only reserve a ticket if you intend to attend.


Any donation will contribute towards The Sunnywood Project’s youth and community work promoting the use of the outdoors for health and wellbeing.
