What is a Colour Dash?

The Colour Dash is a 5k run around the showground in the Burrs Country Park passing through strategic points where you will be showered in a variety of vibrant coloured powder paint!

The aim is to start the run with a clean white t-shirt, but end it with a celebratory mix of colours. 

Each participant will receive a plain white t-shirt and coloured sunglasses. 

Is it safe to be covered in powder paint?

The colour powder is made from corn starch and talc, dyed with food grade colouring. 

Ingestion of the colour powder will not cause issues and breathing small amounts of the powder is unlikely to be harmful. 

However, the powder may cause slight eye irritation - we therefore recommend wearing the sunglasses provided or your own safety glasses / goggles. 

What should I bring?

Do not wear you best kit! 

You will be provided with a plain white t-shirt for the purpose of getting as colourful as possible however, the colour powder will inevitably end up on other clothing - although it will wash out, we recommend only wearing clothing items that you do not mind getting covered in powder paint.

• A drink and snack
