Balsam Bash

Join Holly and Friends of Outwood Country Park to bash some Himalayan balsam! 

Come along to hear about the issues Himalayan balsam causes whilst meeting new people and getting active outdoors! 

Himalayan balsam is an incredibly invasive non-native plant species which is wreaking havoc across the UK and is damaging our native woodlands, biodiversity and wildlife. It grows rapidly and spreads quickly, smothering other vegetation as it grows. 

So let's roll up our sleeves and tackle this beast together!

Meet at the James Street North Car Park, off Outwood Road. Everyone welcome and every little helps! 

What to bring:

• Wear suitable clothing for walking and gardening - not your best kit! 

• A drink

• Sturdy footwear

• Personal snacks/food

• Bring gloves if possible

Tea and coffee will be provided.
