As my mother used to say "right start may lead to a left decision." I never really did understand what that meant, next time I pop round to her's for some wizard-tea I will ask her.  

Ascend into the grassy area, upon reaching this you will turn left and walk along the tree line. This path will allow you to decend into the woodland.
