Service Description

🌱 The next weekly Hiking and Trail Run Series is going to be a little different... 🌱 Explore, conserve and admire. 🌱 On each of these routes, you will have the opportunity to experience 'giving back' through a short conservation activity or admire the beautiful surroundings by producing your own artwork. 🌱 These short conservation and art workshops, lasting around 15-20 minutes, will take place part way along each of the routes. 🌱 Much of the conservation activities will take place in collaboration with the National Trust on Holcombe Moor. 🌱 You will also experience three, short art workshops - this is an opportunity to transfer to paper what you see around you, but there is no need for you to be an 'artist'. 🌱 This is purely an opportunity take in the views and appreciate the scenery through producing your own creative artwork 🌱 Although there will be a quick demonstration with supportive and friendly guidance throughout, this is NOT an ‘art lesson’ as such: this is more of an opportunity to transfer your view of the surroundings to paper in whatever way you feel whilst getting out and being active - it is certainly not about being the ‘best artist'! Every Sunday morning from the 12th June ending on the 17th July. Undertake a 4 to 5 mile route with these activities and locations 12th June Week 1: National Trust 19th June Week 2: Artist Neil Greenhalgh - Holcombe Moor 26th June Week 3: National Trust 3rd July Week 4: Artist Lucy Berry - Cheesden Mill 10th July Week 5: National Trust 17th July Week 6: Artist Kathy Bee - Whitehead Lodges All proceeds from these events help fund our current and future Youth Programmes and community activities.
