Youth Programme: Sunnywood Squad
Outdoor conservation activities designed to support the improvement of mental, physical and social wellbeing for young people aged 13-16 years.
Location: Bury/Tottington
Time: Tuesdays 6-8pm
Cost: Free (Suggested £5 donation)

You will discover and explore a wild, natural place within the local area. Learn about different habitats & trees. Research the local history of the Tottington Mill ruins (Printworks).
Attend guided Wellbeing Hikes.
Identity invasive plants and work to remove them from the area. Plant new trees. Research the importance of bees Create and install bat & bird boxes Create a map that identifies trees and habitats for local community use. Work towards achieving the John Muir Award.
We believe young people have been adversely affected by the Covid-19 restrictions. Our Youth Programme will provide support for young people aged 13-16 years. Please register your interest if you/your child has experienced ANY of the following:
Low mood
Poor mental wellbeing
Low self-esteem
Inability to regulate emotions
Challenging behaviours at home or in school
We are also able to support young people who:
Are from a low social economic background
Are a young carer
