Invent: Interactive Trails

With thanks to The National Lottery Platinum Jubilee Community Fund, The Sunnywood Project is now able to work with your school or community group to develop a brand new, exciting interactive self-led trail that will encourage your local community to embrace the outdoors in a new and unique way.

Please send all forms to info@thesunnywoodproject.co.uk

The Sunnywood Project has successfully designed, produced and installed a range of innovative self-led, interactive trails that aim to encourage families to embrace the outdoors to explore new areas and to promote the mental and physical benefits of getting active outdoors.

With thanks to The National Lottery Platinum Jubilee Community Fund, The Sunnywood Project is now able to work with your school or community group to develop a brand new, exciting interactive self-led trail that will encourage your local community to embrace the outdoors in a new and unique way.

• The INVENT programme is an exciting, new programme that guides young people to design, produce, install and market a brand new self-led interactive trail for the benefit of their local community.

• It aims to encourage young people to take ownership of their local green spaces whilst learning outdoor and digital-based skills to create an activity that their community will truly benefit from.

• The young people will learn the skills to design, produce, and market a new innovative, interactive trail that will be installed within their local park or green space - an activity that the community can take part in at any time.

• This is ideally suited to young people with an interest in digital skills such as coding; film-making and graphic design and want to have the opportunity to contribute positively to their community.

The Sunnywood Project is keen to hear from any school, or community group that works with young people, that has a unique and original idea for a brand new interactive trail.

The Sunnywood Project Team will work with you to help bring this idea to life and have it installed in a local area to truly benefit your community.

The recently installed Chesham Woods Quest has already had over 1000 people complete it.

We're looking for young creative minds to come up with something a little different: perhaps ideas that might incorporate interactive games, music or stories?

Have a think - what unique ideas would encourage folk to embrace the outdoors within your area?

To date, The Sunnywood Project has produced the following self-led interactive trails:

  • Kirklees Valley History Trail

  • The Puzzle Quest

  • Kirklees Valley Quest

  • Burrs Country Park History Trail

  • Three Sisters Quest

  • Time Trial

  • Chesham Woods Quest
